Part time Cook

12 hours per week  

Hospice Band 3:      

£17,460 - £19,913 per annum pro rata depending on skills & experience.

Hourly rate £8.92 - £10.18. 

Rota Pattern:             Thursday, Friday and Saturday 4pm – 8pm 

We are looking for an experienced cook to join our friendly catering team at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice where the successful candidate will take orders for, prepare, cook and serve tasty and nutritious meals to patients, visitors and staff. At the hospice we are proud of our level 5 Food Hygiene rating and our high standards for the safety and welfare of our customers. 

Team working, organisational skills and flexibility is essential as is knowledge of special dietary requirements, allergen awareness and HACCP. A food hygiene certificate at level 2 obtained within the last 3 years is essential.   The rota covers Thursdays – Saturdays, however flexibility in covering for leave within the team is essential, especially during bank holidays. The successful candidate will also be expected to attend statutory and mandatory training outside of these hours as required.
