Flexible hours – as and when is required for the needs of the service 

Hourly rate £8.06 per hour 

The post holder will be part of a team of staff providing a catering service to patients, staff and visitors in the Hospice. Duties will include food preparation and cooking; serving beverages and food to patients and staff; clearing away and washing up after food preparation and meal times; cleaning the kitchen and associated areas.  The post holder will be required to support senior Catering staff in providing the catering service including supervising catering assistants and volunteers.

Applicants must have Level 3 NVQ in Professional Cookery and a current (attained within the last 3 years) CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Certificate. Applicants without these qualifications will not be considered

It is essential for the post holder to be flexible to work additional hours at short notice. Shifts will include day shifts commencing at 7.00 am (latest finish time 3.00 pm) or evening shifts 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm and will include weekdays and weekends.  In addition the post holder will be required to work Bank holidays as per the department rota.
