Reports To:               Admin Team (CPCT) and Clinic Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)     

Location:                    Day Hospice Entrance

Hours:                        Tuesday mornings 09.00am - 13.00pm

Key Duties:

You will…

  • Welcome and support patient and their families on arrival and look after their needs before and after seeing the CNS in Outpatients
  • Prepare the environment to ensure parking space, room and refreshments are ready and available in a timely manner for patient’s arrival
  • Show the patient and their family around IPU if they wish
  • Liaise with Facilities and IPU staff as well as CNS as indicated to facilitate the visit and ensure runs smoothly
  • Inform CNS if you have any concerns about the patient or family or need help or advice about how best to care for them
  • Help with paperwork e.g. questionnaire if needed
  • Arrange appointments utilising IT systems
  • Let team know if you are unable to attend shift so can obtain support from elsewhere
  • Ensure use discretion and confidentiality
