Part Time Cleaner (Housekeeping Assistant)

Hospice Band 2:    £17,809 - £18,317 (hourly rate £9.10 - £9.36) per annum pro rata depending  on skills and experience

Hours:  15 hours average per week worked over 2 weeks

Rota Pattern:  Tuesday, Thursday and alternate weekends 7.00 am – 12 noon on a set rota

Are you an efficient, organised and reliable cleaner with high standards looking for a rewarding role where your work can make a real difference to others? 

We have a position within our Housekeeping team supporting the Hospice Ward, including bathrooms, refreshment areas and patient rooms. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our facilities team, they will be required to clean furniture, fixtures and fittings to ensure high standards of cleanliness which is key in the prevention and control of infection for our patients and visitors.  They will be required to undertake deep cleaning following full training of our equipment and to undertake water flushing and record keeping to meet compliance.

It is essential for the post holder to be flexible to work additional hours at short notice to meet the demands of the department and to cover annual leave and sickness (which may include other evenings, weekends or bank holidays).  Previous cleaning experience is essential, experience of cleaning in a similar healthcare environment would also be desirable. i.e. Hospital / Nursing home, however full training will be given to the right candidates.  A DBS check will also be required to be completed for the successful candidate.
