Birmingham Hospice, formed of Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospices, is looking for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join its Inpatient Unit.
We are seeking a 1st level registered nurse to join the friendly multidisciplinary team in our Inpatient Unit, to assist in the provision of and delivery of the highest possible standard of care to our patient and their loved ones.
You will have responsibility for assessing care needs and developing, implementing and reviewing programmes of care for our patients, ensuring that the care provided is patient centred. You will contribute to MDT meetings and administer drugs in line with Birmingham Hospice and NMC guidelines. Additionally, you will be be expected to supervise, mentor and support Band 2/3 staff and contribute to providing training to junior colleagues.
You will possess excellent standard of nursing care and clinical knowledge, be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have excellent interpersonal skills.
