How does it work?
Starting from Monday 1st October you have 31 days to run, walk, swim or cycle a total distance of 26.2 miles, you may even want to do a mixture of activities to get those miles in! You can do this wherever and whenever you want throughout the month, so whether you choose to do 1 mile a day over 26 days or commit to your activity once a week, get out there as much as you can and clock up the miles to complete the distance.

How can you track your miles?
There are many ways to track your miles.

Running
      1. Download RunKeeper or Strava you can link these apps to your Give Penny page.
      2. Use our paper tracker (available in your welcome pack) and track your distance via:
              -FitBit, GPS watch or any other smart wear
              -Download a free smart phone app tracking app
              -Take screenshots of your treadmill distance

Walking
      1. Download RunKeeper or Strava you can link these apps to your Give Penny page.
      2. Use our paper tracker (available in your welcome pack) and track your distance via:
              -FitBit, GPS watch or any other smart wear
              -Download a free smart phone app tracking app
              -Take screenshots of your treadmill distance

Swimming
      1. Use our paper tracker (available in your welcome pack) and track your distance via:
              -FitBit, GPS watch or any other smart wear
              -Count your lengths and multiply by the length of the pool

Cycling
      1. Download RunKeeper or Strava you can link these apps to your Give Penny page.
      2. Use our paper tracker (available in your welcome pack) and track your distance via:
              -FitBit, GPS watch or any other smart wear
              -Download a free smart phone app tracking app
              -Take screenshots of your exercise bike distance

How do you get your medal?
Once you’ve completed your distance simply let us know by returning your ‘completed distance form’, along with your sponsorship money or details of your online giving page. We will aim to send out your medal (and mystery gift if applicable) within 2 weeks of you returning your form.
