This year, the Hospice is marking 40 years of vital care across Birmingham and Sandwell – and we want you to be a part of the celebrations.

On 5th March 1979, our founder, Monica Pearce's ambition was realised and ‘St. Mary’s Hospice’ admitted its first-ever patient. 40 years on and with thanks to your continued support, Birmingham St Mary’s has expanded and evolved to meet the ever growing demand for hospice care.

We are proud to say that we are caring for more people than ever before. In 1979, Birmingham St Mary’s could care for just 25 people on any given day. 40 years later and we’re now caring for over 400 people every day, providing support in people’s homes, in the community and at the Hospice.

Throughout 2019 we're celebrating what has been an extraordinary 40 years, with lots of ways to get involved and show your support.
